“How involved you are in any action is what determines how significant it is in your eyes.” – Yigal Alon

Kvutzat Reut’s At-Risk Youth Empowerment Program provides year-long programming to at-risk children and teens of the local low-income housing project and greater Gilo, providing a constant alternative to the city streets. The Program is built to provide a setting and tools for its participants to go from being passive, indifferent teens, to active contributing members of Israeli society. It includes:

  • The SACHI Chesed Project for teens to volunteer in their community
  • The Zula Teen Club for dozens of local teens during summer nights
  • Youth groups for youth in grades 7-12
  • Mentoring for teens to successfully enlist in the IDF
  • A summer employment program for a group of teens in grades 9-12
